A JOURNEY WITH JESUS THROUGH PASSION WEEK
(Psalm 22:1-31; Romans 8:24-39)
On this day, Jesus lay dead in the total darkness of a sealed tomb. Those who followed Him were in despair. What would happen to them? What would they live for? In their hearts and minds, all was lost. They were dejected and without hope. Little did they know that this was not the end. The darkness would not last. The silence brought about by the death of Jesus was about to erupt in a shout of victory and bring eternal life to all who would believe in Him.
- When God is silent, we might believe He is distant from us. We may not hear Him and we may not see Him, but He is present. He is actively working on our behalf. Do you believe this? Or are you impatient with God because it seems as if He is not answering your prayers? Ask God to help you to wait and trust that He is working on your behalf.
- Pray for those in our community who are still in darkness, separated from God. Pray that the Light would shine in their hearts so they would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
